Purpose

Assess networking concepts and the ability to design and justify a LAN for a client scenario.

Task Overview (Draft)

Students analyse a case study and:

  • Recommend a network design.
  • Draw a network diagram using CISCO conventions.
  • Justify equipment choices and topology.

Evidence and Submission

  • Written justification.
  • Network diagram (digital or scanned).

Conditions

  • Multi-lesson project with checkpoints.
  • Authenticity checks required for non-test conditions.

School Policy (Assessment and Reporting)

  • Missed assessments: absent without a valid reason may incur a penalty decided by the HOLA; unavoidable absence is completed on return.
  • Absences: parent notification required; sickness/misadventure form for formal assessments; medical certificate may be required.
