UniFi Evidence And Logical Topology
Build The Design, Then Explain The Network
UniFi Design Center shows where devices are placed and how coverage is expected to behave. Your topology explains how the network actually connects.
Recommended Logical Structure
Internet / WAN
ISP connection
Modem / ONT
Service entry
Gateway / Firewall
Routes and protects
PoE Switch
Central star LAN point
External network
WAN handoff
Protected edge
Ethernet / PoE
Wireless APs

Wireless networks through access points
The UniFi floorplan shows placement. The logical structure above shows how to explain the network connection path.
Evidence Quality Checks
The selected realestate.com.au floorplan is imported or recreated.
The network core location is labelled.
The internet/WAN entry point, modem/ONT and gateway/router/firewall are shown or explained.
A switch or PoE switch is the central wired LAN point.
Wireless access points are placed for room and coverage needs.
Coverage or heatmap evidence supports the access point placement.
Ethernet, PoE, wireless and WAN links are labelled where relevant.
Guest, IoT, home office, family or camera separation is shown or explained.
Common Errors
- Do not submit only the real estate floorplan.
- Do not submit only a UniFi heatmap with no topology explanation.
- Do not place access points without explaining the room or coverage reason.
- Do not leave guest, IoT, camera or home office access as one flat network without comment.
- Do not forget to state limitations such as estimated scale or unknown wall materials.
